An OG Holly Lodge employee if you will! He was life and soul of the party, a true friend to myself and Beccy and a honorary son to Lucy & Geoff, not to mention the most amazing husband, brother, son and grandson to the Riddington Family 🩵 Jack had Type 1 Diabetes and this September 5 of his closest friends are cycling from Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where Jack passed away to the memorial woodland that was planted in memory of Jack on his family farm in Crowland, Lincolnshire. Holly Lodge have sponsored the boys for this ride and we would love it, if you are able, to donate anything you can big or small to this amazing cause and these 5 heroic boys, who will no doubt have very sore bottoms by the end of it! We shouldn’t complain, but walking doggos in the heatwaves has been virtually impossible! We can’t wait to see you! 🐶🐾#zoomies We’ve been a little quiet on here the last few weeks, we had to say goodbye to our gorgeous Oscie bear 😢 It’s not until you lose a dog that you realise how much of a hole they leave in your family. Oscar was a menace, a thrifty escape artist and always looking for the next bit of the kids food that he could steal whilst they weren’t watching, but after receiving the news that he had a pituitary brain tumour and cushings disease we knew that he hadn’t got long left with us 💔 If you visit us regularly you might have seen Oscar pottering around where he shouldn’t have been, but he would always give you a wag of his tail and come over for a fuss! His favourite thing was walking the fields with me and he always found the tennis balls left behind! Field checks will never quite be the same again, however it made me realise what a sanctuary they were for him in his last couple of months, as he could potter around them, sniffing, playing with a ball, all whilst being safe. I really hope that some of you also find comfort and security in our fields, especially if you have older dogs who you want to still give some freedom to 🐾 See you again Oscie 💙 Little and large! 😍 It’s nearly the weekend! “had an incredible experience at holly lodge, we were served by zach who was attentive and really knowledgeable about the food. he then went straight to the kitchen to prepare our order in which came out quickly and efficiently. the food was delicious i had the avocado toast with an egg and it was cooked to perfection. i great stop off for families!”

“Love it here. It's not noisy, it has a lovely outdoor area and the food selection is huge. I had a med veg sausage roll and cherry and clotted cream milkshake. Followed up with piece of Oreo cookie pie. (Took that home as was too full after I got halfway through 🤣). All three were very nice. The staff are polite and the cafe is clean and tidy. Plenty of parking. It's one of those little tucked away gems.”
